CIVIL UNIONS
View my TV interview on Civil Unions here!
As of April 26th, 2005 Civil Unions become legal in New Zealand. A Civil Union is available to both gay and heterosexual couples in New Zealand, provided they meet certain criteria, similar to those required for a marriage. I am a registered Civil Union celebrant, and am therefore able to solemnise all such unions.
The process of creating a civil union ceremony is much like that of a wedding.
(Visit my WEDDINGS - Package Option One page to read more about how I work - the process described for Option One is generally how I work with Civil Unions. I now offer an Option Three style approach also.)
At the same time, a civil union ceremony may be less formal and less traditional than a marriage ceremony. Naturally this will depend on your personalities and values - you may want an intimate, informal ceremony with a few close friends in your own home, or you may want a larger, more formal ceremony at the type of venue usually used for weddings.
Whatever your dream ceremony looks like, I would be delighted to create and perform a civil union ceremony unique to you and your partner.
I am committed to providing you with a warm, personalised and professional service - and I welcome your enquiries!
