CIVIL UNION CEREMONIES
FOR SAME SEX COUPLES
It is now possible (as of 26/04/05) in New Zealand for a same sex couple to enter into a legal union. And I am delighted to be able to solemnise such unions.

I have been performing commitment ceremonies (a civil union if you like, without the legalities) for some time in the gay and lesbian communities. And of course, this more informal, non-legal version will continue to be available to you!
A civil union ceremony can be very close in form to a traditional wedding (if that is what you want), with, of course, slighty different legal aspects. Or it may be vastly different.
What is important is that your civil union ceremony expresses who you and your partner are, both in its form and in its content.
I have enjoyed friendships with people from a range of sexual orientations over the years, and am proud to describe myself as "gay-friendly".
